I’m a PhD student at The University of York in the mathematics department, researching statistics in sport. I am focusing on analysing the different aspects of football data, including modelling bookings, inspired by my love of the Lionesses and Liverpool FC. In my spare time, I enjoy watching football, coxing and rowing, and crocheting.

Eilidh Thompson (she/her)
I’m a PhD student at The University of York, working in the Leverhulme Centre for Anthropocene Biodiversity. My PhD is looking at the use of historical, qualitative data to reconstruct the past of Ullswater’s fisheries, and how this knowledge can inform models which account for both anthropogenic and environmental pressures. Before I moved to York, I completed my undergrad and masters at The University of Sheffield. Outside of my research, I enjoy hiking, baking and crocheting 🙂
