“I am a PhD student at the University of Glasgow researching parameterised algorithms for problems in temporal graphs. I am dedicated to celebrating, inspiring and supporting people of marginalised genders and identities in academia and in general. I am hoping to help foster a network where we can help each other navigate academia and early career researching. Outside of research, I enjoy reading and going to gigs.”

“I am a PhD student at the University of Glasgow in the Analysis group. My research focuses on operator algebras and noncommutative analysis. You can find more information about my work on my personal website. I am passionate about supporting people at the early stages of their PhD journey. I am currently a mentee in the Operator Algebras Mentor Network (OAMN), which shares a similar spirit to the Piscopia initiative — helping female and underrepresented students adjust to academic life. I look forward to continuing this spirit by helping to build and organise networks that foster inclusivity and support within the mathematical community. In my free time, I enjoy playing badminton and going for hikes.”

“I am a PhD student within the Quantum Optospintronics Group.
My background is an undergaduate degree in Chemistry, but I did my last year Honours project with Physics. I was working at the same time as an endoscopy nurse in a private hospital as I have another degree too. I want to dive more into Maths and when I learned about the Piscopia Initiative, I was very excited to help in the organising of events related to Mathematics and help support more women in STEM and Mathematics. I am also the treasurer for the Chess Society of Glasgow. In my free time I like going to the gym, concerts and all music related stuff. In case you wondered, I am from Greece!
